Early in the morning, the hiking whores arrived in the “Bärnbiet” from all directions. For many participants, it was the first time they had visited a 3rd world region and they were accordingly nervous. Some of them wondered what kind of currency they could pay with and what kind of language they spoke. At the meeting point in Oberried near Lake Brienzen, most of them were impressed by the beauty of the region for the first time. The 32 participants gathered and the two routes were introduced again: Group pink and Group difficult. Once the participants had decided on a route, they set off in high spirits. What happened afterwards will be remembered by some for a long time to come...
Group "Difficult hike" (5h22min)
As it turned out, the start of this route was a tough one, as it was the first ascent of 1400 meters. Lärsu was in excellent shape and skillfully pulled the Bernese boys up the first mountain (Blasenhubel). He must have prepared meticulously for the hike the day before. Burgy, a hiker from the older group, led another group up the mountain at a regular pace. Once the whole group had reached the top, it was time to replenish their fluids. The white wine they had brought with them was used to help with this. After a short break, the group continued towards the Augstmatthorn. Once at the top, the hiking whores posed skillfully for the obligatory group photo. As it turned out, the ascent had taken its toll on their strength and some participants looked at their watches in amazement. The 5h22min hiking time recorded in the PDF had already been used up. However, Tony reassured the participants that it was not far to the end point and that the time plus/minus should be correct. As it turned out, the starting point was a little further away than expected. But the hiking whores bravely fought their way over the ridge and finally reached the Harder Kulm after 8 hours of exertion. Once there, the Rosarot group welcomed the new arrivals on the deckchairs. They treated themselves to a refreshing drink and enjoyed the well-earned view.
Group "Pink"
The pink group consisted of a small but select number of participants. The agile group chose the somewhat easier route along the lake towards the finish. As it turned out, this group harmonized extremely well and the girls had a lot of fun. Nonetheless, there were still meters of elevation gain to be made on this route. B. also came to a halt on a steep climb.
Kutuparambil (name changed by the editors) reached her limits and cursed loudly: “What kind of freak founded this club!!!” out. Nonetheless, this group also successfully reached the finish line.
Grill+Chill
Now that the exertions were over, it was time to relax in the pool. The participants definitely deserved to cool off in the water. A fire was also made with wood. Tony had come up with an ingenious concept to combine fire and ready-made embers for grilling in one. For some inexplicable reason, it didn't work like the textbook and the Toggenburg faction had to intervene. In the end, everyone was able to enjoy the delicious sausages that Martina had prepared and brought with her. Jokes were cracked and glasses were raised in the convivial atmosphere. The highlight of the successful event was Will's obligatory speech, bringing the day to a close. One by one, the group made their way home, eagerly awaiting the next adventure.
