The hiking whores arrived at the starting point in Arth Goldau on Saturday morning. Two participants were so excited about the hike that they fortified themselves early in the morning with an alcoholic refreshment. P.S.: It definitely wasn't Mattia. The hiking whores then set off on time towards the summit. At the first stop, a check was made to ensure that there were enough wine provisions to complete the hike. Fortunately, ALL the participants had thought of the wine in an exemplary manner and so nothing stood in the way of the ascent.
Seraina already knew the way to the Rigi very well. She had recently shown a colleague from overseas the beautiful mountain landscape of Switzerland. When she arrived at the top of the Rigi, however, she was a little unsure, as it didn't look anything like the photos. It turned out that they had landed on a small hill in the city of Zurich called Rigiblick...
The motley group of participants from the hiking group harmonized excellently and quickly became friends. Some were there with “company”, others were not. The atmosphere was good and there were lively discussions. As it turned out, it was all uphill from then on. The participants put up a good fight and bravely transported themselves up the mountain. The loss of fluids due to sweating was compensated for with the drinks they had brought with them. As soon as the hikers' fluid levels were right, they continued uphill.
After the lunch break, two speed groups were formed. The experienced hikers Martina and Melanie really picked up the pace from then on and led the first group to the summit in no time at all. Once at the top, the arrival of every other member was celebrated loudly.
After the obligatory group photo at the summit, we took the train back down. As it turned out, we were lucky enough to make the acquaintance of a lovely ticket inspector. Raffi in particular couldn't resist having a verbal exchange with her, which turned into a very amusing cogwheel train ride.
Once we arrived at the bottom, the leisurely part was on the agenda. Egger had booked some event location in advance. Most of the participants thought it would end in another organizational disaster, just like the Beer-Pong event ...
But lo and behold. It turned out that the president was spot on with his choice of restaurant and we had the pleasure of dining at a knight's table. After everyone had eaten their fill, Will gave one of his legendary and touching speeches. He thanked the organizer Tröpfli-Chris and wished the orange-haired birthday boy all the best. One by one, the participants paid their bills and left the restaurant in a relaxed and stress-free atmosphere. The remaining guests finished their drinks and the amusing day drew to a close.
